You may be eligible for a refund on unused or partially unused Kenya Airways tickets, depending on the type of ticket you purchased:
Applicable taxes, fees and charges imposed by government or other authority, or by the operator of an airport, shall be payable by you. At the time you purchase your Ticket, you will be advised of taxes, fees and charges not included in the fare, most of which will normally be shown separately on the Ticket.
The taxes, fees and charges imposed on air travel are constantly changing and can be imposed after the date of Ticket issuance. If there is an increase in a tax, fee or charge shown on the Ticket, you will be obliged to pay it. Likewise, if a new tax, fee or charge is imposed even after Ticket issuance, you will be obliged to pay it. Similarly, in the event any taxes, fees or charges which you have paid to us at the time of Ticket issuance are abolished or reduced such that they no longer apply to you, or a lesser amount is due, you will be entitled to claim a refund.
In addition should the Passenger not travel on a flight and they are holding a refundable or a non refundable ticket they are equally to benefit from a refund of said applicable taxes, charges and other fees.
For tickets bought on Kenya-airways.com you may be eligible to apply for a refund using Manage My Booking. If your inbound travel is in the future and your booking is still active.
When you are in Modify My Booking, select ‘Cancel and refund’. Please be aware that if your ticket is open, all sectors will be cancelled. Choosing to Refund will cancel the whole ticket and all flights.
For tickets bought on Kenya-airways.com and the inbound travel has a past date or cancelled, complete the Refund Form here. Please note once you’ve submitted this form, your entire booking will be cancelled.
The refund can only be credited to the form of payment used to make the purchase. Refunds are issued in accordance with Fare Conditions.
For tickets bought from a preferred travel agent, please contact the agent directly to arrange your Booking Cancellation and Refund.
For tickets bought from our ticketing office and contact center, please visit any of our sales office or call the contact center directly to arrange your booking cancellation and refund.
Kenya Airways will issue refunds for eligible tickets within 21-30 business days for credit/debit card purchases, but please note that this does not include your own bank processing time.
All Refund Requests are subject to the rules of ticketed fare, and fees or penalties may apply to your Refund. Your itinerary will be CANCELLED at the time the Refund is processed.
Please note; It is not possible to obtain a Refund by emailing Kenya Airways. A Refund can only be obtained by using one of the methods shown above.

NO REFUND for family members who were going to accompany the deceased prior to the travel or were with him when the passenger died - date change fee will be waived.
You have one year from the ticket's original issue date to reschedule your travel without losing the full value of the ticket (less any applicable change fees).
